    Project Zikaron includes many rare autobiographies, such as this Yiddish-language volume from 1916 which is the earliest South African Jewish autobiography. The last 100 pages are devoted to the history of the Jewish community of Cape Town, including biographies and photographs of its rabbis and community leaders.
