This 25-page Hebrew work is the rare 19th-century memoirs of an Orthodox Jew in the United States. Aaron Mincovsky (1830-1887), originally of Karlin, Belarus, mainly discusses the publishing of the manuscripts on the Babylonian Talmud of his great-grandfather Rabbi Yitsḥok Minkovsky (1788-1851), who is known by the title of his work, Keren Orah . At the end of his memoirs, Mincovsky describes the greatly fallen state of traditional Jewish life in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he immigrated in 1884.
