Published in 1999, this book contains the Hebrew tombstone transcriptions made by Shmuel Tsvi Weltsman (1863-1938) before WWI of 921 tombstones in 51 Jewish cemeteries in Eastern Europe as well as indices of the tombstones, including ones in English and German. Starting on image 47 is a German-language index sorted by town. Starting on image 97 is an English-language index sorted by town, which is followed by more indexes sorted by surname, maiden name, etc. Starting on image 247 are the contents of the CD-ROM which accompanied the 1999 book, which contain two microfilmed manuscripts: the author's original manuscript and a handwritten transcription of the manuscript, both organized by town. All four sections which list the transcriptions by town have been indexed below.
