Published in 1921, this scarce Yiddish-language volume describes the pogroms which took places in Zhytomyr, Ukraine in 1905, 1919, and 1920, and lists the victims, sometimes including brief biographical details and photographs. Some of these primarily describe their communities’ destruction during the Russian Civil War (1917-1921) while others are devoted to their communities’ general histories: Chortkiv, Ukraine; Derazhnya, Ukraine; Dubova, Ukraine; Hvardiske (Felshtin), Ukraine; Humenne, Slovakia; Ivano-Frankivsk (Stanislav), Ukraine; Khmelnytskyy (Proskurov), Ukraine; Latvia – 25 localities; Navahrudak (Navaredok), Belarus; Pinsk, Belarus – 14 localitie; Radomsko, Poland; Pruzhany, Belarus; Rezekne (Rezhitse), Latvia; Sialiba (Seliba), Belarus; Siauliai (Shavl), Lithuania (Shavl), Lithuania; Tarashcha, Ukraine, v.1 & v. 2, and Vilkaviskis, Lithuania.
